Umang Child Trust

Umang Child Trust was established on March 2010 by Mrs. Ashwini S karade who is working from last 10 years in this field to offer services for children with multiple disabilities. Umang means a joy and happiness. A joy and happiness for brings us back to life, more so if it is a child’s smile. Our centre has taken up the endeavor to bring back this lovely smile and hope -“Umang”, back on the faces of our special children and their parents through our services.

Mrs. Ashwini S Karade,a Remedial teacher (and founder Trustee of Umang), initially started off by providing therapy to a few children at her own premises. Umang center for special children was started in 2010 at Datar Colony, Bhandup East. Umang child center is equipped with the latest equipments and trained therapist to provide quality education and therapy to children. Hundreds of children and their families have greatly benefited from the services provided by this center.

Umang child Therapy center was registered as Umang Child Trust, in November 2012 who believe “there’s more to life” beyond office and home.

Umang is a non-profit organization set up with the objective of helping some of Mumbai’s most deserving – children with developmental disabilities. Umang will help children with disabilities or at high risk for disabilities, reach their maximum potential and be included in society.
